Former Saint Morten Andersen finalist for NFL Hall of Fame

Former Saints kicker Morten Andersen has made it to the final round of consideration for the NFL's Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made on Thursday.  Andersen played 13 years with the New Orleans Saints. During his 25 year career he also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.

He was also selection to the Pro Bowl 7 times during his career.  According to NFL.com Andersen made 565 of his career attempted 709 field goals. His longest field goal was 60 yards.

Andersen will find out if he makes the 2014 class February 1.
