Man found shot to death in front yard of Uptown house

NEW ORLEANS, LA - New Orleans police are investigating a fatal shooting near a busy Uptown street.

It happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of South Robertson Street.

The shooting was just steps away from the revitalized stretch of Freret Street between Jefferson Avenue and Napoleon Avenue.  

When officers arrived at the scene they found a man lying in the front yard of a house.  Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
