NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The rash of injuries in New Orleans has now swept over Pelicans starting point guard Jrue Holiday.

He's wearing a walking boot, having been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right tibia.

Holiday is out indefinitely. The team's doctors will need to evaluate the fracture at a later time to see whether surgery is needed.

Brian Roberts will start at point guard in Holiday's place versus the Dallas Mavericks Friday night.

In 34 games this season, Holiday averaged 14.3 points, 7.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 33.6 minutes per game. The 6'4" guard holds career averages of 13.5 points, 6.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 332 games.
