2 arrested in Marrero car vandalism face additional counts


MARRERO, La. - Two Marrero men accused of vandalizing hundreds of vehicles in Jefferson Parish were booked with an additional 117 counts of criminal damage Friday. 

JPSO Detective Chad Dear, who is conducting the follow-up investigation into cases reported on Christmas Eve,  rebooked 19-year-old Christopher Flanagan and 20-year-old Decotah Hamilton with an additional 48 felony counts and 69 misdemeanors.

To date, Flanagan and Hamilton, who are being held in the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, confessed to shooting the windows of 254 vehicles with a BB gun.

The total amount of damages thus far is estimated at $142,000.00.
