DUBLIN, NH - The Old Farmer's Almanac stands by its prediction for stormy Super Bowl Sunday.

It updated its forecast for the game Friday, saying a nor'easter will hit the east coast in the beginning of February.

It predicts if the storm passes west of MetLife Stadium, temperatures will be in the 40s or 50s with gusty winds and heavy rain. It predicts if the storm passes east of the stadium, fans will need to brace for heavy snow and temperatures in the 20s.

Some people have criticized the NFL for sending the game to an open stadium that could get snow.

The NFL says the league will be prepared for any weather that hits East Rutherford.
