Pelicans' Smith out with knee injury

 

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -- The New Orleans Pelicans announced Saturday that center Jason Smith is out due to a right knee injury. According to a press release, Smith's injury is due to cartilage damage in his right knee. 

The fifth-year center averaged 9.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 31 games during the 2013-14 season.
