FREEZE WARNING
The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning through 9 a.m. Thursday for our area. A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. The long duration of sub-freezing temperatures may also cause damage to exposed water pipes if protection action is not taken.

FREEZE PRECAUTIONS
Please take precautions to protect people, pets, sensitive vegetation, and wrap exposed pipes. Please check on sick or elderly relatives and neighbors to make sure they have adequate heating, bring all pets indoors and protect livestock. (For more detailed information on water system and heating precautions and safety tips, visit www.stcharlesparish-la.gov.)
