Oscar winner Quentin Tarantino named Orpheus Monarch

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Oscar-winning director, producer, screenwriter and actor Quentin Tarantino will reign as the Krewe of Orpheus' celebrity monarch.

Tarantino, famous for movies such as "Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill," "Reservoir Dogs" and most recently "Django Unchained" was chosen for his "vibrant imagination and dedication to richly layered storytelling" according to a release sent out by the Krewe of Orpheus.

On Lundi Gras he will lead the 27 float procession and be celebrated by over 1,300 Krewe members, hundreds of thousands of parade-goers and thousands of revelers attending Orpheuscapade.
