NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The man accused of killing a little boy in a hit and run accident appeared in New Orleans Criminal Court Tuesday.
22 year-old Arthur Toledano appeared in magistrate court and he said nothing as his bond was set.
He faces $150,000 bond on manslaughter, $75,000 on attempted manslaughter, and $50,000 on hit and run.
Investigators say Toledano hit 6 year-old Shaud Wilson and his sister as they walked to a bus stop near Paris Avenue and Lafreniere Monday morning.
The six year-old died a short time after the crash. His sister suffered multiple injuries, but is expected to survive.
Surveillance video shows the car stops, and then takes off. NOPD officers arrested Arthur Toledano Monday afternoon only a few miles from the crash scene and towed his car.
According to our partners at Nola.com and TheTimes-Picayune, Toledano's arrest report shows he confessed to his involvement in the hit and run.
Again, Toledano's bonds totals $275,000 for his charges which include manslaughter and hit and run.
