LSU Baseball tabbed to win Western division by SEC coaches

BATON ROUGE, LA. (WVUE) - With the college baseball season just days away, the SEC coaches' preseason votes have been collected and LSU is picked to win the Western division, while South Carolina is the favorite in the Eastern division.

The 14 coaches also voted on the overall champions:

South Carolina: 5 votes

LSU: 4 votes

Mississippi State: 4 votes

Vanderbilt: 1 vote

The Tigers are ranked second overall in the national coaches' poll.

Here's the full results of the SEC coaches' votes, with first place votes in parentheses:

Western Division:

1. LSU (6)

2. Mississippi State (7)

3. Alabama

3. Texas A&M (1)

5. Arkansas

6. Ole Miss

7. Auburn

 

Eastern Division:

1. South Carolina (9)

2. Vanderbilt (5)

3. Florida

4. Kentucky

5. Tennessee

6. Georgia

7. Missouri
