RACELAND, LA (WVUE) - Lafourche Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a Raceland convenience store employee in the alleged theft of over $10,000 from her place of employment. Deputies say Darlene Jackson was arrested and booked with felony theft on Thursday.
The store alerted authorities that $10,000 was missing from their account and detectives learned that Jackson was responsible for multiple missing deposits from Jan. 5 through Feb. 8.
Jackson was taken to the parish jail and released Thursday afternoon after posting $5,000 bond. It was unclear whether Jackson has an attorney.
