Loyola University cuts some employees' pay to balance budget


NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Loyola University is taking more steps than layoffs to balance its budget.

The university says they cut the pay of some of its staff. The cuts came in the form of reducing the number of hours that 14 people work. The employees saw a pay cut of about 19 percent.

The university has already laid off 18 employees. 

It's working to balance a $5.2 million budget deficit.
