Bug experts worry taking selfies spreads lice

SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (WVUE) - Bug experts worry that the growing popularity of taking selfies spreads lice.

People who work at a lice removal company in California told the website SFist.com they're seeing a big increase in lice cases among teenagers.

People treated for lice are usually younger children. So, the bug experts evaluated the behavior of teenagers.

They suspect teenagers huddling together to take selfies may be what's behind the tenfold increase in cases they've seen among older kids over the past few years.
