NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Heavy showers early Wednesday morning dropped and inch and a half to over two inches of rain across much of the area, but the heaviest looks to be gone.
The rain will be ending by Wednesday afternoon in time for the Mystic Krewe of Druids, which begins at 6:30pm and the Krewe of Nyx which rolls at 7pm.
Though damp outside tonight, rain shouldn't be an issue for Wednesday night's parades. Colder temperatures are on the move, and throughout much of the day, temps will remain in the 40s or near 50.
When you factor in brisk winds from the north, it will feel more like the 30s! Sunny skies are on tap for Thursday with temperatures in the low 50s after a morning start near freezing on the North Shore and upper 30s south of the lake.
Highs will be in the 60s for Friday, 70s for Saturday, and near 80 degrees on Sunday!
Unfortunately, rain returns with another upper disturbance for Lundi Gras and morning showers for Fat Tuesday.
