RESERVE, LA (WVUE) - Dozens of deputies searched the swamps of St. John Parish Friday looking for a couple from Reserve.

They concentrated their search along I-55 between Manchac and I-10.
Kenneth and Lakeitha Joseph have been missing for almost three weeks.

Nearly 27 law officers with the St. John Sheriff's Office and The Port of South Louisiana and Customs covered 14 miles of swamps on either side of Interstate 55 looking for 34 year-old Kenneth Joseph and 29 year-old Lakeitha Joseph.

The couple was reported missing by relatives back on February 19th after they found their house ransacked on Homewood Place in Reserve.

"We started at mile marker one, Bailey's Boat Launch, all the way to Manchac Pass," said Lt. Charles Wale with the St. John Sheriff's Office.

Some of the searchers took to four wheelers while others went by boat looking for any trace.

"This has gone on too long. We just want our family back," said Lakeitha's mother Terry Hart.

The couples 2010 Dodge Caravan was found in a suburban Atlanta parking lot nine days later on February 28th. The St. John Sheriff's Office sent two detectives there in their search for evidence, but so far no trace of the Joseph's has been found.

St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre says this case is solvable. All they need is a  tip and they're hoping to get one soon
