NFL Network: Darren Sproles will be cut

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The Saints' roster purging just added another veteran.

The NFL Network is reporting that running back Darren Sproles will also be cut. The move would save the Saints $3.5 million.

Earlier today, the Saints released wide-receiver Lance Moore after nine seasons.

Sproles had 71 catches for 604 yards and two touchdowns this season, but was not nearly the threat in the return on running game as in years past.
