Alleged accomplice of Darren Sharper released from JP jail

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The man accused of raping two women with former Saints player Darren Sharper is out of jail.

Erik Nunez posted bond in New Orleans Monday, but just as he was released from custody there, Jefferson Parish deputies took him away in handcuffs for an outstanding warrant involving an old traffic ticket.

Nunez and Sharper are accused of drugging and raping two women at a Warehouse District apartment.

Sharper is being held in a Los Angeles jail on the warrant out of New Orleans. Another extradition hearing is set for Thursday.

Sharper is also charged with drugging and raping two women in California.
