TEMPE, AZ (WVUE) - Darren Sharper has been indicted in Arizona on two counts of sexual assault and three counts of administering dangerous drugs, according to the Tempe, Arizona Police Department.
Tempe Detectives had been working with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office on the investigation involving Sharper and the alleged sexual assaults that happened on November 20, 2013 in Tempe.
On March 11th, detectives went to a grand jury on the allegations where an indictment was returned.
The former Saints safety, along with 26 year-old Erik Nunez, is accused of raping two women in New Orleans last September.
Sharper remains locked up in the Los Angeles County jail.
He's already pleaded not guilty to rape and drug charges in Los Angeles and posted a $1 million bond there.
However, Sharper was picked up two weeks ago after the NOPD obtained arrest warrants for him on two counts of aggravated rape in New Orleans.
