Girl, father shot while driving through Hollygrove

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A 2-year-old girl and her father were shot Thursday as they drove through Hollygrove.

The shooting happened at about 3:30 p.m. at Earhart and Eagle streets. The girl was struck in the arm and the man was struck in the side. Both are in stable condition.

Police said the victims were riding in a silver Buick when a gray or silver SUV pulled alongside them and someone inside opened fire.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest and indictment.
