New Orleans Police search for missing woman


NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -- NOPD Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman. Melissa Gordon, 33, was last seen by her mother as she left her home in the 3800 block of Washington Avenue. 

According to police, Gordon's mother told detectives that her daughter left home and was going to a friend's house. She has not been seen or heard from since. Gordon has a medical condition and is not in possession of her medication. 

Gordon is described as an African American female, about 5'6" tall, weighing around 250 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, tan pants, orange slippers and a black rap on her head.
