COVINGTON, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany Parish wants money from former coroner Peter Galvan.
The parish has requested that he repay over $200,000 his office paid to two law firms to defend him in his corruption case. A judge sentenced Galvan to two years in prison for conspiring to steal public money for his personal use.
The sentence comes after a series of FOX 8 reports exposed his questionable spending in series of Lee Zurik Investigations called "Body of Evidence."
A hearing on the matter is set for April 9.
