The New Orleans Police Department arrested an Orleans Parish Sheriff's Deputy over the weekend.
Deputy Corey Amacker was arrested Saturday for driving while intoxicated and reckless operation of a vehicle.
FOX 8 obtained video of Amacker taken just before the NOPD arrived to investigate the incident at Washington Avenue and Earhart Boulevard.
A passerby, who wanted to remain anonymous, told FOX 8 they were driving near the intersection over the weekend when they noticed something was not right.
The video shows the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office vehicle in the left lane with the lights on.
Approaching the intersection, the passerby witnessed and videotaped the deputy slumped over with his head hanging.
A short time later, the passerby shot video of NOPD officers on the scene and what appeared to be the deputy talking to officers.
Amacker, 30, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and reckless operation of a vehicle.
This all happened Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Records show the deputy was released from jail just before noon the same day.
The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office tells FOX 8 the deputy is now suspended without pay pending an internal investigation.
