Report details pay of subject of Lee Zurik investigation

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The subject of a Lee Zurik investigation collected more than $91,000 in salary and fees last year.

According to our partners at | The Times-Picayune, state law requires West Jefferson Constable Tony Thomassie to file a financial statement within 90 days of the end of a fiscal year. The most recent report was made public March 31.

Lee Zurik investigations found Thomassie frequently drinking at a West Bank bar during workdays. In one instance, our undercover camera caught Thomassie drinking while he claimed to be at work serving court papers.

The legislative auditor and representatives from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office raided Thomassie's home March 27. Our camera captured video of one investigator leaving with a box. Other investigators were caught on camera looking inside Thomassie's car.
