NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -- One man was killed and three others were injured, including a one-year-old girl, in an over-night shooting in the Seventh Ward.
On April 13, just before 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of Pauger Street, the victims were sitting on a porch when a vehicle approached and opened fire.
According to police, a 23-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 32-year-old man all took multiple gunshots to their bodies. The 23-year-old man died at the hospital after being taken their in a private vehicle while the other two are listed in stable condition. The deceased victim has been identified as Charles Collins. A one-year-old girl was shot in the leg during the drive-by shooting. She is at the hospital and listed in stable condition according to police.
Investigators are currently gathering evidence and information to identify the person, or people, responsible for the shooting as well as a motive.
