New Orleans Police searching for missing 21-year-old

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -- The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 21-year-old man. Garry Ridley was last seen by his grandmother on April 14 at 8:30 a.m., leaving her home in the 7800 block of Sand Street in New Orleans East.

According to police, the grandmother told detectives that Ridley was picked up by friends and was supposed to be dropped off at Hayne Boulevard and Haney Street to meet a female. The grandmother has not seen or heard from him since and said that this is unusual for Ridley.

Ridley is described as a black man with a thin build. He is 5'10" tall, weighing around 200 pounds. He has a short black afro style hair cut with sideburns, a goatee and a moustache.

If you have any information that could help locate Garry Ridley, you are asked to call the police station at 504-821-2222 or the Seventh District Station at 504-658-6070.
