KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

Investigators have developed new information in the case of a murdered mother whose dismembered body washed ashore in Mississippi in 2012.

One of the last two people seen with Jaren Lockhart, 22, was arrested Wednesday morning and booked with second-degree murder. Margaret Sanchez, 30, has also been charged with obstruction of justice.

Kenner Police Chief Steve Caraway said they have surveillance video at a strip club where Lockhart worked. It shows Sanchez and Terry Speaks with Lockhart.

Speaks, 41, who was listed at the same address as Sanchez in June 2012. Speaks is still a suspect in the case, according to Caraway.

Speaks is in prison for failing to register as a sex offender. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website, he's being held in Otisville, New York, and is due for release in October. Kenner police have been to New York to interview Speaks.

Caraway said the investigation is a lengthy process. He added that murder investigations tend to drag on and are very complex.

Investigators have said surveillance video showed both leaving with Lockhart on June 12, 2012, from the Bourbon Street strip club where she worked. Police have said her boyfriend, who lived with her at a rundown motel in an area known for crime and drug trafficking, reported her missing the next day.

Parts of Lockhart's body began washing up a few days later.

Caraway said he believes Lockhart was killed in the New Orleans area. He does not believe she was kidnapped. The motive is still unclear.

Police have never said just what killed her. Her torso, with a stab wound in the chest, washed up in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Other body parts and clothing washed ashore in Pass Christian and Long Beach, Mississippi. Tattoos and body piercings helped identify her.

Caraway said he expects a lot more details to come out in this case.

Bond was set at $750,000 for Sanchez.

After Further Review: Sloppy wins still count for Saints

I usually leave a Saints game with an overall theme or feeling about what I just observed on the field. It typically jumps out at me right away and this column is written. But after Sunday I was left with kind of a blah emotion. Their effort against the Jets was kind of weird. It certainly wasn’t an overly impressive victory to celebrate, but nonetheless, a win in the NFL by double digits is nothing they have to apologize for. Dodging a bullet may be the more accurate descript...

Juan's World: Saints ground Jets, look to Falcons rematch

Welcome in to Juan's World and as you know, this blog that I do is strictly an opinion piece with a few facts sprinkled in here and there. So, with that in mind, I'm under the opinion that the Saints should've been 'expected' to look past the Jets to next weeks rematch with the Falcons. How could they not look ahead to Atlanta coming to the dome next Sunday. And before you go all 'One Game at a Time' on me, think for a second. You're supposed to beat the Jets, who came in 5-8 and wi...
