Police: 2 men robbed of cash, chicken and beer

Police are investigating an armed robbery in which the victims were robbed of cash, beer, and fried chicken.

A spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Department said the two victims were walking near the intersection of Burgundy and Deslonde streets just after midnight Tuesday when several males on bicycles approached.

One of the suspects, armed with a handgun, fired three shots in the air and demanded property from the two men. The victims handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, a case of beer and a box of fried chicken.

No injuries were reported. A description of the suspects was not provided.
