BOGALUSA, LA (WVUE) -

The FBI has arrested a grandmother in connection with the kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy.

Deborah Boyd, 48, was taken into custody Wednesday evening after an investigation that spanned two states and involved nearly a dozen crime fighting agencies.

The victim was kidnapped from a trailer by two armed men in Meridian, MS. The men entered a trailer where a man was babysitting several children. The armed men asked for the victim specifically and robbed the babysitter, according to the FBI.

Authorities arrested Boyd, the victim's grandmother and found the boy unharmed in Bogaulsa, LA.

Boyd was arrested on a Mississippi state warrant for kidnapping and remains in the Washington Parish Jail awaiting extradition back to Mississippi.

The investigation to identify the co-conspirators continues, according to the FBI. If you have any information that might help agents, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
