First-round pick Brandin Cooks signs 4-year deal with Saints

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Drew Brees' newest weapon in the Saints' passing attack is officially a member of the Who Dat Nation.

Brandin Cooks, a wide receiver out of Oregon State, signed a 4-year contract today according to Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Mickey Loomis.

The Saints traded the 27th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft along with their 3rd round pick to the Arizona Cardinals to move up and select Cook with the 20th pick in the first round.

Cooks is listed as 5'10" tall and weighs 184 lbs. He was the 2013 Biletnikoff winner, honoring the nation's top wide receiver.

During his final year at Oregon State cooks caught 128 receptions for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also gained 217 and two touchdowns on 32 carries.
