Suspect sought for Houma armed robbery

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) -

Police in Houma are searching for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint.

It happened Monday just after 9:30 a.m. at ABC Insurance and The Notary Shop in the 1900 block of Prospect Avenue in Houma.

A police spokesman said an unidentified black male armed with a gun entered the business demanding money from two employees.

After receiving the money, the suspect fled on foot towards the Carolyn Street area.

The suspect is being described as a black male, wearing a dark colored shirt, tan pants wearing a red bandana across his face.
