Updated:
COVINGTON, LA (WVUE) -

The group Louisiana United International called Wednesday for the resignation of St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain.

The group believes Strain mishandled racist emails allegedly sent by one of his top deputies.

The group was joined by the St. Tammany chapter of the NAACP and others who are angry with the sheriff at a Wednesday morning news conference in front of the St. Tammany Justice Center.
