PIERRE PART, LA (WVUE) - A man is recovering in the hospital with a pierced lung after his girlfriend allegedly stabbed him during an argument, according to Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack.
The 61-year-old victim called deputies to the 800 block of N. Belle River Rd. in Pierre Part on Tuesday around 6:45 a.m. He told investigators that he and his girlfriend, Tammy Daley, 45, got into a fight. During the confrontation, she allegedly picked up a small kitchen knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Daley was booked into jail later that day for aggravated second degree battery and domestic abuse battery. Her bond was set at $30,000. She is still in jail, on hold for probation and parole because she is on active probation for an aggravated second degree battery conviction in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The victim is still in the hospital.
