New Orleans Police are investigating a pair of shootings that left one teenager dead and another injured.
According to police, the first shooting took place around 6:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of St. Roch Avenue. The 17-year-old victim was found suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The second shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Bartholomew Street. A 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene, police say. Witnesses say that a black Cadillac Escalade SUV was seen fleeing from the scene shortly after the shooting.
