Police arrest second of four suspects in St. Bernard armed robbery

CHALMETTE, LA (WVUE) - St. Bernard Detectives have arrested the second of four suspects wanted in an armed robbery that occurred at an Arabi business. The robbery took place on May 31, 2014 in the 7500 block of West Judge Perez Drive.

According to police, Kendrick Wells, 36, of New Orleans, was taken into custody early Tuesday by U.S. Marshal's Service Fugitive Task Force. He was transported to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Department and booked with armed robbery. A $200,000 bond was set for Rodrick Natteel, the first suspect arrested for the robbery.

During the incident, three men entered the pay day loan business and robbed the store along with several customers. The suspects fled in a dark-colored SUV, driven by the fourth suspect. The SUV has since been recovered. No injuries were reported.
