Armstrong Park to host Cajun Zydeco Fest this weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

For the last seven years, the Cajun Zydeco Festival shared the weekend with the Creole Tomato Fest. But now it has a new weekend and a new location at Armstrong Park in Treme.

The two-day festival will feature music and food unique to Louisiana.

Among the artist performing on Saturday: Sean Ardoin and Zydekool, Jeffrey Broussard, Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers and Buckwheat Zydeco.

On Sunday the lineup includes Bruce Daigrepont, Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots, Sweet Crude and Rosie Ledet.

For those who want to learn the two-step, dancing lessons will be offered throughout the weekend, along with activities for kids.
