New Orleans Police are investigating after a 62-year-old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a cafe.
Officers say the accident happened around 7 p.m. at the edge of a shopping center on Robert E. Lee Boulevard near West End Boulevard.
Officials say that a 62-year-old drive apparently lost control of his vehicle when he suffered some type of medical condition. Witnesses say his truck struck a pole and a pedestrian before crashing into Chateau Café.
"Nobody in the restaurant got hurt," said Aaron Ziegler, a barista at Chateau Café. "There was a lady sitting right at the corner table where he had the accident and she has no scratches. She's fine. She actually is a paramedic herself and she went to go help the guy, the pedestrian that was walking."
There has been no word on the extent of the injuries involved.
