LOCKPORT, LA (WVUE) - The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested three people accused of running a meth lab in Lockport.

Kane Pertuit, 26, Brandy Plaisance, 24, and Tommy Plaisance, 30, were booked Wednesday with operating a meth lab and cruelty to a juvenile for operating the lab in the presence of the daughter of Brandy Plaisance and Pertuit. Pertuit was additionally charged with distribution of methamphetamine and driving without a license plate light

Agents with the Lafourche drug task force began conducting surveillance because they suspected that Pertuit was making and selling the drug. After stopping his for a traffic violation with the other two suspects in the car, they found items commonly used to make meth, including pseudoephedrine, investigators said.

A search of the home shared by Pertuit and Brandy Plaisance yielded more items, including a cooker.

All three remain jailed at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. Bond has not yet been set.
