Woman found swerving on LA 1 jailed for 3rd DWI

THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) -

A Houma woman was arrested for her third DWI offense Wednesday after deputies say they caught her swerving from lane to lane in Cut Off.

Sherry Mobley, 46, was booked with DWI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane use.

At around 10:30 p.m., deputies traveling southbound along LA Highway 1 saw a pickup truck swerving from the southbound to the northbound lane and initiated a traffic stop. They said Mobley smelled strongly of alcohol and performed poorly on a field sobriety test.

A breathalyzer test showed her blood alcohol level at 0.142g percent.

Mobley was found to have been arrested for DWI in 2009 and 2012 in Terrebonne Parish.

She is jailed at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux on a $55,100 bond.
