Some areas could see heavy storms Wednesday

With the approach of an upper disturbance, this feature will draw more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and create more instability in the atmosphere leading to greater rain and storm coverage.

Yesterday's coverage was around 50 percent, whereas coverage today and tomorrow will approach 70 to 80 percent. Most of the entire area will see at least some rainfall.

Heavy storms are possible once again with frequent lightning, gusty winds and heavy rainfall.

Rain coverage will begin to decrease by Friday and Saturday with a chance of about 50 percent. Sunday's will be a little lower at 30 percent.

Models continue to indicate quiet conditions in the tropics as we wrap up June and head into early July.
