"American Idol" auditions were held Wednesday in New Orleans.
The doors to the Lakefront Arena opened at 8:30 a.m., but Idol hopefuls were already lining up at 5 a.m. for a chance to be part of Season 14.
A couple of years ago, local favorite Vernell Taylor finished seventh during Season 12. Taylor started out in Baton Rouge.
