Deputies: 2 brothers arrested for stealing in separate incidents on same street

LAROSE, LA (WVUE) -

Two brothers have been arrested for stealing in two separate incidents on the same street over two days, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a burglary on June 18 on Gaspard Dr. in Larose. Over $1,000 was stolen, along with prescription medication. Dezman Allen, 18, was named as a suspect during the investigation. He was brought in for questioning on Monday and confessed to the crime, according to deputies.

He was booked with felony simple burglary on an inhabited dwelling and taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. He posted $25,000 bond and was released Monday night.

Deputies responded to another incident on June 19, also on Gaspard Dr. Officers said 12 containers of herbicide were stolen from a carport. Dezman Allen's brother, Dustin, 19, was named as a suspect in that case. He was arrested Tuesday and booked with felony theft.

He is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He is additionally being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
