The upper disturbance that produced around 80-100 percent coverage Wednesday and several rounds of heavy storms is still in a position to do the same today.
We're expecting about 80 percent rain coverage today with several locations receiving substantial downpours, frequent lightning and gusty winds.
Temperatures will reach near 90 degrees, but then quickly cool with the rainfall.
A few evening showers will linger, with rain ending by tonight. As the upper disturbance pushes east, rain coverage will decrease a bit on Friday, but will remain high at about 60 percent.
By the weekend, we begin our drying-out process with 40 percent coverage Saturday and 20 percent to end the weekend.
We'll start out dry next week!
