SWAT called to St. Bernard Parish residence, man arrested

A 31-year-old man is in custody following a standoff situation in St. Bernard Parish.

SWAT teams were called to a residence in the 2500 block of Edgar Drive around 6 p.m. Monday. Deputies say they were on the scene for approximately two hours before the suspect surrendered to police.

Brandon Robinson, 31, was arrested. Deputies say that the victim was shot in the hip.

The victim suffered only minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Officers say both Robinson and the victim walked out of the residence. Officers did not force entry.

Little information is known about the details leading up to the incident. FOX 8 will update the story as details become available.
