Trio arrested for stealing four wheelers in St. Bernard Parish

St. Bernard Sheriff's Deputies have arrested two men for stealing multiple four-wheelers. Michael Dupuy and Kevin Magee, both 19-years old, were arrested on Sunday.

According to police, a man called police, Sunday, after witnessing some suspicious activity involving two men in a truck, hauling a four-wheeler. The witness provided police with a license plate number from the truck.

Also on Sunday, police received a call about the theft of a four-wheeler from the Lexington Place subdivision in Meraux. Officers traced the license plate number given to an address in Meraux where the stolen four-wheeler was found. Police found Dupuy and Magee at the location and both were arrested for theft. A follow-up investigation led police to 21-year-old Tristan Eschette who was found in possession of a stolen trailer.

Eschette admitted to police that he was involved in the thefts of multiple four-wheelers and the trailer. He led detectives to a wooded area at the end of Aycock Street in Arabi, where one of the four-wheelers were located. Police continue to search for the other missing four-wheelers. Eschette was arrested and booked with four counts of felony theft and one count of possession of stolen property.

Based on the new information given from Eschette, Dupuy was booked with three more counts of theft and one count of possession of stolen property.

The three men were all booked into the St. Bernard Parish Jail and all have been released on bond.
