Rain returns to the forecast; tropics quiet

Look up in the sky, it's a bird, no a plane how about finally some rain!

For the first time in 10 days, widespread storms developed with locally heavy downpours and vivid lightning and thunder.

This is much welcomed moisture and the next two days should be near repeats as a weak upper trough combines with a weak frontal boundary to provide above normal clouds and storms.

By Friday and thru the weekend, shower chances decrease allowing temps to increase back into the low to mid 90s.

The Tropics are quiet.
