Second suspect surrenders in Zion City triple shooting

The second suspect in a Tuesday night triple shooting in Zion City surrendered to police early Friday morning.

Police said 21-year-old Kevin Butler turned himself in at the Fifth District station at about 2:40 a.m. He was booked with three counts of attempted first-degree murder. Another suspect, 23-year-old Matthew Joseph, was already in custody on the same charges. 

A 3-year-old girl and two teens were among the victims after two men opened fire on a group of people in the 1300 block of S. Salcedo Street. All three were in stable condition, according to police.
