NOPD: Mid-City woman threatened with gun after argument over trash can

Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who allegedly threatened a woman with a gun in front of her Mid-City home.

The assault occurred July 5 at 6:45 a.m. in the 3000 block of Bienville.

Police said the victim got into an argument with the subject after he ran over her trash can. The subject left the location for about five minutes, and then returned with a silver handgun.

The subject parked his truck in front of the victim's front door, stood by his truck facing the victim as the she watched from her window, and repeatedly slapped the gun in the palm of his hand. He then walked toward the home with the gun in his hand and banged on a neighbor's door.

The victim told police she feared for her life.
