A judge has sentenced a 19-year-old man to life in prison and hard labor without parole for murdering a college student.

Milton Wilson was found guilty earlier this year.

In November of 2012, Wilson and a group of guys pulled Fernando Eyzaguirre out of his car on General DeGaulle Drive and shot him repeatedly.

A second suspect, Jaroid Washington pleaded guilty to the killing earlier this year and agreed to cooperate for a lighter sentence. But he later refused to testify. The DA's office moved to have Washington re-sentenced.

He could face as many as 139 years in prison.

"These defendants destroyed a family. Their crimes are unforgivable. Because of a thorough investigation and an efficient prosecution, we were able to convict each of them," said Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro. "It is my hope that three of these defendants will never spend another day of their life outside of a prison."
