Police seek 'person of interest' in deadly April shooting

New Orleans police are searching for a 'person of interest' following a deadly shooting in Central City.

On April 12, Lanisha Scott was shot and killed near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Dryades Street. Following a lengthy investigation, police say they have identified a man as a person of interest in the shooting.

Officers are searching for 19-year-old Benjamin Locure. Police say Locure is known to frequent the River Gardens area, formerly the St. Thomas Housing Development in the Sixth District.
