Woman drives car into Slidell bank

SLIDELL, LA (WVUE) -

The Slidell Police Department responded to a crash Monday in which a woman drove into the glass doors of a bank.

The accident happened at about 4 p.m. at the Chase Bank in the 300 block of Gause Boulevard.

The initial investigation showed that the woman was pulling into a parking space when the car accelerated into the glass doors.

No injuries were reported, and the bank is making emergency repairs to secure the front doors. There was no immediate word on whether the woman will be charged.

The bank remains open, but is only accessible via the drive through.
